My shop is a collection of beautiful, high quality items which I have carefully hand-picked during my travels through Europe, Scandinavia and America.

As a classical musician I often travel abroad and one of my greatest enjoyments has always been to bring back unique presents for my friends and family. From the small market store in Provence selling fragrant lavender and vintage linen to the luxurious leather and cashmere shop tucked away in Dorsoduro Venice, I love stumbling across something unique!

Yet these days we all lead such busy lives that we don't necessarily have time to visit that unusual paper shop in town - let alone take the train to Lille to that lovely chocolatier - to select a special present. In founding Unique Gifts from Emily, I have aimed to recreate on the web the personal and satisfying shopping experience you get in a quaint family-run establishment.

One of the greatest pleasures of running the company is travelling and meeting skilled and creative artisans. In my spare time I'm a keen knitter, quilter and seamstress so I thoroughly appreciate good craftsmanship! I love poring over paper archives with a designer, or discussing the best wools for hat felt with a milliner. Each of my products has been made and selected with great care and attention to detail.
